Guided days for individuals, groups and clubs
Guided days are available for individuals, groups of friends and running clubs of up to six people. They are ideal when you want to experience somewhere new without spending the day checking maps, worrying about route choices or trying to judge whether a route suits the group.
Days run in Scotland, the Lake District, the Peak District, Eryri and other UK mountain areas by arrangement.
The key difference between a guided day and the other sessions on offer is the focus. A race recce is built around a specific race route. A skills day is about coaching and technique development. A guided day is about experiencing a chosen area or route safely, without needing to plan or navigate it yourself.
A day designed around your group
We will agree the approximate distance, ascent, terrain and expected duration before the day. The route can be relaxed and exploratory, or a more demanding mountain-running objective, depending on the ability and experience of the group.
These are guided running days rather than formal coaching sessions, although practical advice about the route, terrain and mountain conditions is always available where helpful.

Private bookings for groups of up to six. Pricing is per group, not per person.

Pricing covers the guided day, route planning and pre-day discussion. Travel within the agreed area is included. Accommodation and additional transport are not. Pricing for locations requiring significant travel will be confirmed at enquiry stage.
Mountain weather and ground conditions can change quickly. The planned route may be shortened, moved or adapted where necessary to keep the day appropriate for the group and conditions.
